Post An Event In < 5 Min

Need to get your event up ASAP? The tutorial below will help you get up and running quickly.

Your Organizer Account and Store are now active which means you now have the tools to sell tickets and promote your event.

Here is your lightning-fast, foolproof guide to getting your event live and selling tickets in under 5 minutes.

Step 1: Create Your “Event” (1 Minute)

  1. Log in to your WordPress dashboard.
  2. Look at the left-hand menu and hover over Products.
  3. Click Add New.

Step 2: Add the Vitals (1 Minute)

  • Product Name: Make this your Event Title (e.g., R&B Rooftop Day Party – July 15th).
  • Main Description: In the large text box, drop the essential details. Keep it clear and hype it up! Be sure to include:
    • Date & Time
    • Location/Venue
    • Age Restrictions (if any)
    • The Vibe (What should they expect? Who is DJing?)

Step 3: The Magic Settings (1.5 Minutes)

This is the most important step. You need to tell WooCommerce that this isn’t a physical t-shirt that needs to be shipped—it’s a digital pass to an experience.

  1. Scroll down to the Product Data box.
  2. Ensure the dropdown is set to Simple product.
  3. CRITICAL: Check the box next to Virtual and Downloadable. This removes all shipping costs and shipping address fields at checkout, saving your attendees a huge headache.
  4. Regular Price: Enter your ticket price (e.g., 25.00).
  5. (Optional) Inventory: If your venue has a strict capacity, click the Inventory tab on the left side of this box. Check “Manage stock” and enter your total ticket limit (e.g., 150) so you don’t overbook!

Step 4: Add Your Flyer (1 Minute)

  1. Look to the right-hand sidebar and scroll down to Product image.
  2. Click Set product image.
  3. Upload your Black Soul Summer event flyer. Square images usually look best, but use whatever fits your theme!

Step 5: Publish & Share (30 Seconds)

Take a quick glance to make sure your date, time, and price are correct.

  1. Scroll back up to the top right corner.
  2. Click the big blue Publish button.

Boom. You’re done. Your event is now live! You can grab the link to your new event page and drop it directly into your Instagram bio, Facebook groups, or email newsletters. Stay soulful, keep building the community, and sell those tickets!
